Job Summary
Conduct routine foot patrols and drive off-site facility sweeps to assess safety, monitor video surveillance, and respond to suspicious activity. Secure facilities by checking locks, setting alarms, performing daily luggage searches, and transporting client belongings. Intervene to de-escalate situations, accompany clients during nicotine breaks, and enforce safety policies while ensuring inpatient clients are accounted for. Report incidents, unusual events, and emergencies immediately to supervisors and clinical teams, completing incident reports for property damage, contraband, or behavioral issues. Provide support to the Safety Manager during training and drills, assist in emergency response scenarios, and deliver daily activity updates to incoming personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior safety experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must be insurable under Rimrock's driving policy
- No more than 2 violations/accidents or suspensions/reinstatements within 3 years
- No DUI/Reckless/Felony driving convictions within 5 years
- CPR and First Aid training certification
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to communicate and work with patients with addictions
- Ability to anticipate safety concerns and respond accordingly
- Normal vision abilities, including close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear approximately 70% of the time
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors with moderate noise
- Ability to handle mental and emotional stress
- Ability to work throughout all Rimrock facilities with adult patients
- Ability to comply with regular, predictable, and reliable attendance standards
Desired Qualifications
- A valid Montana Security Officer license
