Safety Coordinator

Job Summary
Assist Safety Manager in the Cooperative's accident prevention and loss control program through on-site visits to multiple locations, conduct accident investigations for workers' compensation claims, develop safety and health training programs, maintain DOT driver records, and coordinate required drug screens. Perform annual audiograms and pulmonary function tests for employees exposed to noise and contaminants; manage certifications such as sling, fall protection, forklift, and other safety trainings; support CMV driver training, DOT physicals, and drug/alcohol testing requirements. Promote safety, health compliance with federal/state regulations, and safety policies; collaborate with management to improve safety performance and reduce liability; ensure proper recordkeeping and program administration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in Business Administration or related area with minimum experience
- minimum five (5) years of experience preferably in industrial/manufacturing
- ability to communicate orally and in writing
