Job Summary
Safety Coordinator responsible for administration of project safety guidelines and fostering safety knowledge on construction projects. Travel to the Central Region is required. Responsibilities include monitoring subcontractor and employee safety, conducting weekly toolbox talks, enforcing procedures from the Site Specific Safety Manual, organizing new-hire safety orientations, ensuring PPE and safety materials are available, maintaining OSHA 300 logs, conducting safety/health inspections, coordinating corrective actions, and promoting McCarthy’s safety culture. Requires knowledge of 29 CFR 1926 and related regulations; effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; and ability to travel/relocate full-time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience managing safety efforts on large healthcare or commercial projects preferred
- Ability to travel/relocate full-time required
