Safety Coordinator I/II/Sr - Upstream

Job Summary
Conduct field-based safety support for Upstream Asset Development activities, including Drilling, Completions, Facilities Construction, Plugging & Abandonment, Flowback, and SP&C operations. Partner with Operations and contractors to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Lead incident investigations, analyze safety performance trends, and implement corrective actions to reduce workplace incidents. Develop and deliver safety training, participate in risk assessments and pre-job meetings, and coach personnel to reinforce safe work practices. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to work an on-call rotation with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and travel across the operating area.
Required Qualifications
- 0-7+ years of experience which demonstrates an understanding of safety regulations, compliance issues pertaining to upstream oil and gas operations, and 3rd party contractor management
- Bachelor's degree in safety science or a closely related field
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work an on-call rotation with flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver public speaking engagements/trainings and analyze/summarize data for report writing
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently, while also working well and communicating with all levels of the team
- Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Strong detail orientation and organizational skills for accurate record keeping
- Travel to locations spanning across EQT's operating area required
Desired Qualifications
- ASP, GSP or CSP
- Demonstrated knowledge of the oil and gas business, or related industry experience
- Experience supporting drilling, completions, construction, well servicing, or other upstream field operations
- Experience utilizing Salesforce or similar platforms
