Job Summary
Conduct field-based safety support for Midstream Construction Operations by performing observations, inspections, audits, risk assessments, and emergency response activities. Partner with Operations and contractors to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, and proactively develop strategies to reduce workplace incidents. Coach personnel to reinforce safe work practices and deliver training, orientations, and briefings. Analyze safety performance data to identify trends and track improvements. Work an on-call rotation with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with travel across the operating area required.
Required Qualifications
- 0-7+ years of experience which demonstrates a thorough understanding of safety regulations, compliance issues pertaining to Midstream oil and gas projects, and 3rd party contractor management
- Bachelor's degree in safety science or a closely related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of the oil and gas business, or related industry experience
- Verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver public speaking engagements/trainings and analyze/summarize data for report writing
- Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently, while also working well and communicating with all levels of the team
- Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Strong detail orientation and organizational skills for accurate record keeping
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work an on-call rotation with flexible work hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Travel to locations spanning across EQT's operating area required
- Overnight travel may be required occasionally
