Job Summary

The Safety Coordinator at Horizon Behavioral Health is responsible for inspections and compliance with safety regulations in ICF homes. Requires an associate's degree in occupational safety, a year of experience, and offers benefits including VRS participation and education discounts.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate or associate’s degree in occupational safety & health or relevant field
  • One year of experience with occupational safety
  • Ability to complete and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
  • Valid Virginia driver's license
  • Ability to travel to different work sites as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in public safety or code compliance
  • Knowledge of safety and health standards, regulations, and codes
  • Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety Code
  • Knowledge of Virginia fire codes
  • Ability to plan and present safety training programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Vizio
  • Ability to inspect and evaluate complex safety problems and issues

Additional Requirements

  • May consider applicants who do not meet minimum education and experience requirements to begin in a trainee capacity
