Safety Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate daily safety assessments and implement safety protocols across all project levels in the Dallas region. Investigate incidents and motor vehicle accidents, write associated reports, and remove employees when immediate action is required. Provide direction, mentorship, and site-specific training to field personnel while ensuring compliance with OSHA and client safety requirements. Communicate frequently with the Safety Manager, HR Manager, general contractors, and other stakeholders to address safety issues. Recommend improvement strategies and new policies to enhance safety culture and processes. Use testing equipment to document results and participate in required safety committees.
Required Qualifications
- Must have OSHA 30
- Knowledge of general construction and industrial safety rules and regulations
- Must be a self-starter
- Have attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
- Able to carry more than 50 pounds
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 510
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Above-average communication skills and ability to speak to groups
- Familiar with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
