Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator at Collins Electrical Company, Inc. will oversee safety practices, conduct inspections, and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in compliance with Cal OSHA regulations. Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent combinations of training and related experience
- Three to five years construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 Certification
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices
- Ability to develop and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster a culture of safety awareness and cooperation among team members
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records
- Knowledge of Cal OSHA and related legislation, ensuring compliance in all safety-related activities
- Experience in conducting meticulous inspections to meet regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 500 Course-preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Proven experience in documenting safety incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to tailor training programs to meet the needs of diverse audiences
- Strong analytical skills to assess safety risks and identify appropriate solutions
