Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator oversees transit safety operations and compliance, responding to incidents, assisting in investigations, and coordinating training with emergency responders. Requires a high school diploma and five years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Five years of progressive experience in Transportation, Safety and Compliance, or Accident and Incident Investigation
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with endorsement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) compliance monitoring
- Training and certification by the FTA and DOT in Rail Systems Safety
- FEMA/National Incident Management System (NIMS) Certifications – ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800
