Job Summary
Assist operations with truck and trailer hazmat labelling requirements and obtain repair estimates to ensure DOT compliance. Set daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to track resolution timeframes for equipment breakdowns while answering driver calls regarding maintenance issues. Coordinate service scheduling with vendors, locate appropriate repair facilities, and file claims for warrantable repairs. Maintain contact with customers, dispatch, and vendors to relay timelines, communicate service disruptions, and coordinate payment methods. Requires knowledge of DOT regulations and truck maintenance, with a preference for a post-secondary diploma and previous service writer experience. Schedule is six days from 3:00pm to 12:00am, including Saturday or Sunday availability, within a 24/7 office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Knowledge of Truck maintenance and repair
- Availability to work either a Saturday or Sunday as part of your regular weekly schedule
- Willingness to work in an office environment that is open 24*7, 365 days a year
Desired Qualifications

- Previous experience as a Service Writer
