Job Summary
Lead regional safety supervision and direction, managing program priorities, forecasting needs, and ensuring regulatory compliance across a designated operational area. Develop, implement, and administer safety policies and training programs while serving as a liaison to resolve issues and promote accident prevention. Collaborate with operations personnel to design initiatives that reduce injuries, illnesses, and maximize compliance with federal, state, and local rules. Monitor program content for accuracy and communicate guidelines based on evolving regulations. Travel 5-10% to work sites and work some weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years field safety experience
- Must be available to work some weekends
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Able to communicate technical information to field personnel as well as executive management
- Demonstrated ability to review contractors health and safety plans
- Can react calmly in emergency situations and work effectively with other people
- Must be highly motivated, a self-starter and have good verbal and written communication skills
- Technical efficiency & knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Travel 5-10% required
Desired Qualifications
- BS degree in Safety or Health related field desired
- CUSP safety certification a plus
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation and General Liability claim processes
