Job Summary
Safety Coordinator at Bouten Construction will focus on educating and promoting a positive safety culture across multiple job sites. Responsibilities include assisting with program development, supporting field leadership, delivering safety training and meetings, maintaining records, incident investigation support, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations (WAC, OSHA, OAR). Regular site visits and coordination with trade partners are required to resolve hazards and advance safety initiatives. Travel to project sites in Northern Idaho, Eastern Washington, Central Washington, and Northeast Oregon is expected; the office is mobile and based on project sites. Key skills include safety program development, incident response, training delivery, field observations, regulatory knowledge, and strong communication.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a safety role in the construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management (preferred)
- Health and Safety education and/or certification (CHST, OHST, ASP or CSP) (preferred)
- Working knowledge of safety/environmental principles and Worker’s Compensation regulations
- Travel to project sites in the regions that Bouten serves
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
