Job Summary
Conduct all Cooperative employee and member safety investigations, including vehicle accidents, electrical contacts, and near-miss events. Investigate and report accidents while ensuring compliance with NESC, OSHA, DOT, and EPA hazardous waste management rules. Create and present monthly safety programs for local schools, internal employees, and first responders. Evaluate contractor compliance regarding ANSI A300 clearance issues and monitor substation reliability and completion data. Answer member phone calls on right-of-way questions and perform field inspections for timber and new lines. Maintain industry contacts for safety equipment updates and provide emergency assistance as needed. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50-75 pounds, and willingness to work outside in inclement weather.

Desired Qualifications
- Additional education or training in electric utility operation, safety engineering, and right of way fields
- Experience in related safety programs and procedures
- Exceptionally favorable experience in the right of way fields
