Safety Coordinator

Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator will support and promote a safe work environment by ensuring OSHA-compliant safety practices, conducting training and toolbox talks, performing site visits, investigating incidents, and developing site-specific safety programs in collaboration with the Sr. Safety Manager and project leadership. Responsibilities include incident investigation and reporting, hazard identification and mitigation, policy implementation, and ongoing safety program development across active jobsites. The role requires at least 5 years in construction safety, strong communication and organizational skills, and comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, with electrical-safety familiarity (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, trenching/excavation).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years in the construction industry focusing on safety/health/environmental protection
- Experience in electrical construction industry preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and recommend corrective actions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures
- Familiarity with confined space programs
- Familiarity with trenching and excavation safety
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes preferred
