Job Summary

Safety Coordinator responsible for advancing field safety programs across active construction sites in Dallas, TX. Supports implementation of safety policies, manages project-specific safety documentation (JHAs, permits, logs, training records, inspection reports), conducts daily field observations and inspections, assists with hazard recognition and corrective actions, supports toolbox talks and safety trainings, participates in incident investigations, and coordinates with regional safety leadership to maintain incident-free work environments. Travel-heavy role with emphasis on site engagement, regulatory inspections (OSHA/EPA), and timely safety reporting. Requires 2–5 years in construction and safety, an Associate degree or equivalent in occupational safety, OSHA 510, and ability to obtain CHST within 180 days. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills, plus a valid driver’s license and proficiency with standard office software.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of construction-related experience
  • 2–5 years of safety-specific experience (Preferred)
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in occupational or construction safety
  • Specialized training in construction safety
  • OSHA 510 certification (Required)
  • STS-C, CHST, or other recognized safety certification (Preferred)
  • Ability to achieve BCSP CHST certification within 180 days of hire if not already held
  • Strong organizational skills with proficiency in safety documentation and reporting
  • Effective communicator with the ability to appropriately escalate safety concerns
  • Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and standard office software
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to meet company driving requirements
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with craft personnel, project leadership, senior management, and clients, including delivering presentations on safety topics
