Safety Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
Safety Compliance Specialist responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs to ensure compliance with Corporate, State, and Federal environmental health and safety regulations. Drives ongoing improvements to safety policies and procedures, conducts OSHA-mandated trainings, performs risk assessments and audits, manages hazardous waste and SDS records, updates Emergency Action Plan and Fire Prevention Plan, and ensures accurate safety reporting and documentation across employees, contractors, and visitors. Requires knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, ability to conduct drills and inspections, and strong communication across all levels of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience running a Safety Program in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable State safety regulations
- Completion of 30 hours OSHA training class
- Protective Clothing/Equipment Requirements: safety glasses and safety shoes; respirator policy compliance
