Safety Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
Manage safety, compliance, and employee qualification records within company systems to ensure audit-ready documentation. Monitor certifications, licenses, and training requirements while identifying expired or missing compliance needs. Track customer-specific platforms, resolve deficiencies impacting project mobilization, and maintain incident and corrective-action logs. Coordinate workforce readiness evaluations with Operations, HR, and Business Development. Develop compliance reports for leadership and support strategic staffing and regulatory recordkeeping for OSHA and DOT. Primarily office-based with occasional field travel; requires Associate degree in OSH or related field and 3–5 years of safety administration experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or Safety Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in safety administration, compliance coordination, workforce training, compliance, or a related role
- Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and administrative skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and reporting tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information with accuracy and professionalism
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to travel occasionally to company offices, training locations, or job sites
- Visual ability to review detailed reports, records, and electronic documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
- Proactive problem solver with strong follow-through
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or Safety Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and contractor/customer compliance requirements preferred
- Experience with safety management systems, compliance databases, or learning management systems (KPA experience preferred)
