Job Summary
Safety Compliance Manager role for Disney Cruise Line based in Singapore. Responsible for supporting the Safety Compliance program by conducting SMS/ISM audits, leading investigations, developing tiered audit programs, and liaising with Port State authorities to address deficiencies (ISM, ISPS, MLC). Role emphasizes continuous improvement of Safety Management System content, risk assessments, and collaboration with Marine and Technical Operations to resolve non-conformities and correct action items. Deputy DPA for Disney Adventure; participate in Safety Committees and deliver safety messaging and alerts. Requires extensive maritime safety knowledge, auditing experience, lead auditor certification, and ability to travel. Some responsibilities include developing corrective actions, coordinating with shore staff and shipboard crew, and maintaining compliance with international and corporate safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in marine safety and cruise safety/compliance
- ISM Code Lead Auditor certification or completion of an accredited ISO 9001 lead auditor training course
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations including SOLAS, MLC, ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, STCW, ILO, IGF Code, flag state requirements and Port State Control
- Experience conducting SMS/ISM audits, investigations, and developing action plans
- Ability to collaborate with Marine and Technical Operations and present at all organizational levels
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Effective communication and reporting skills
- Experience with audit documentation and corrective action tracking
- Proven ability to lead safety improvements and risk assessments
