Safety and Security Officer (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, respond to service calls, emergencies, and alarms, and manage building access at Baldwin Wallace University. Enforce campus rules, identify safety hazards, and complete incident reports while monitoring suspicious activity. Perform dispatch functions by operating computerized systems and logging daily patrol status. Control card access systems, process lost property, and coordinate with local law enforcement during emergency management operations. Provide court testimony as required and maintain professional relationships with the campus community. This unarmed, non-commissioned part-time role includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Meet insurability requirements
- Successful completion of a background check
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Must be physically capable of performing patrol duties, including walking extended distances and navigating stairs
- Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and meet insurability requirements
