Job Summary
Administer First Aid and emergency care per protocols, calling outside services when circumstances demand. Lead the WorkSAFE team, conduct plant inspections, audits, and safety checks, and schedule standard safety training and evaluations. Maintain OSHA and company medical databases, manage Workers' Compensation programs, and perform ergonomic assessments with recommendations. Assist with accident investigations, coordinate with medical, legal, and insurance personnel, and handle drug and alcohol screens. Enter medical supply purchase requests into purchasing software. Requires an EMT license or ability to obtain one within the first year, CPR and First Aid certifications, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- EMT license OR ability to obtain within 1st year of employment
- CPR and 1st Aid Certifications
- Intermediate computer skills
- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge
- Ability to read, speak and write in the English language
- Ability to handle and resolve most issues independently
- Appropriately operate with frequent access to confidential information
