Job Summary
Perform safety inspections on biogas facilities and equipment, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems to correct deficiencies. Operate and maintain various equipment including UTVs, ATVs, forklifts, and skid steers while adhering to OSHA, EPA, and DNR regulations. Train employees on site-specific safety protocols and complete all applicable documentation and record keeping. Communicate daily with management levels and work outdoors up to 50% of the day. Availability required for limited weekend hours, call-ins, and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications

- Self-driven and self-motivated
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to follow detailed instructions
- Accomplished user of common PC software, including MS-Word
- Ability to identify and deal with problems involving a variety of variables in random situations, including problem solving
- Familiar with OSHA safety regulations
- Knowledgeable with EPA regulations, DNR and permitting compliance
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors up to 50% of each workday
- Ability to train and operate equipment safely and train on site-specific protocols
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Experience in training, safety, farming, natural gas, chemical plant operations, industrial gas operations, and/or power plant operations
- Availability for limited weekend hours and for call-in and on weekends as needed
- Expert knowledge of electrical equipment and motor controls and the ability to start, shut down, and lock out electrical equipment
- Understanding permits and regulations pertaining to the facility and ensuring continuous compliance
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
