Job Summary
Oversee safety and compliance across the organization, implementing and maintaining food safety protocols per regulatory standards (MANNA FoodBank, AIB International, Feeding America), conducting incident investigations and corrective actions, managing fleet safety and driver training, coordinating emergency management plans and drills, developing onboarding safety training (including forklift operations) and online programs, performing regular Gemba walks to identify hazards and improve processes, ensuring warehouse safety and proper handling of chemicals and waste, maintaining SDS documentation, and supporting safety-related communication and training; requires a valid driver’s license and clean MVR; routinely travels within the service area; flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed; proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to work in a non-profit environment focused on hunger relief.
Required Qualifications
- Education/Experience: A range of education, training, certifications and experience will be considered for this position
- This range could include a High School diploma or equivalent combined with five years of experience up to a four-year degree with three years of experience.
- Proof of current, valid Driver’s License, auto insurance, use of a personal vehicle and clean MVR
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and participate in virtual meetings and conferences
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook is required
