Job Summary
Utilize verbal de-escalation skills to respond to and help de-escalate crisis situations while connecting with clients in crisis. Secure premises by patrolling property, inspecting access points, and regularly checking bathrooms and parking lots for safety concerns. Assist clients in finding their way within the clinic, maintain an attractive environment, and conduct routine safety drills with the Health Center Manager. Complete detailed reports on observations and occurrences, and assist with trash pickup as needed. This per diem role supports the network of federally-qualified health centers serving over 70,000 individuals across Napa, Solano, and Yolo Counties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years' experience working directly with the public
- Must possess de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
- Must have knowledge or the ability to learn motivational interviewing, de-escalation techniques and mental health first aid
- Must have valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge/experience working in clinics that provide substance use and/or mental health services
- Bilingual
