Job Summary
The Safety Administrator will ensure job-site compliance with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations; coordinate subcontractor safety, reporting requirements, and employee drug testing; and conduct safety audits. Reports to the Safety Manager or supervisor. Responsibilities include composing/editing letters, memos, reports, and procedures; handling day-to-day administrative items (expense reports, requisitions, personnel forms, safety documentation); managing training documentation; monitoring accidents and maintaining records; and setting up drug testing for new craft employees. Requires strong administrative skills, attention to safety protocols, and proficient use of Microsoft Office; prior experience in construction or EHS environments is favored.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- A technical degree a plus
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience or equivalent combinations training and related experience
- Working knowledge of general office procedures plus ability to organize and coordinate group work efforts
- Proficient in web based research and Microsoft Office software
- Excellent written and verbal skills
