Job Summary
Conduct Child Protection Conferences as Case Officer, representing the South Yorkshire Police and presenting the SYP view on initial and review meetings. Make decisions regarding child protection plans based on information shared by police and other agencies, challenging inconsistent professional views. Attend Strategy meetings, review CPC minutes, and quality assure actions. Update and maintain CONNECT records in accordance with operating procedures. Raise immediate concerns regarding child safety with line managers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of working in Child Protection
- Experience of working in a multi-agency environment
- Experience of attending and participating in meetings
- Experience in updating and interrogating computer systems
- Ability to compile reports
- Skills and experience as documented in the role profile
- Minimum checkable history of 5 years
- Successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure
