Job Summary
Coordinate safeguarding administrative processes and maintain accurate, confidential case records and databases. Prepare meeting papers, take minutes, and monitor follow-up actions from safeguarding meetings while organizing training events and managing attendee communications. Assist with safeguarding communications, newsletters, and guidance updates, and collect, analyze, and maintain data to support reports and dashboards. Process invoices and respond to general enquiries, escalating concerns appropriately. Ensure website content remains accurate and accessible. This role supports the Portsmouth Diocesan Board of Finance's Safeguarding Team to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults across the Diocese.
Required Qualifications
- substantial administrative experience within a busy, complex or sensitive environment
- highly organised and able to manage competing priorities independently
- exceptional attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- confidence using Microsoft Office applications and databases
- experience of monitoring, evaluating and reporting on information and outcomes
- relevant safeguarding training
- satisfactory enhanced DBS check
- references
- right to work documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting safeguarding, compliance or casework functions
- knowledge of safeguarding within a charitable, faith-based or Church of England setting
