Job Summary
Overnight SAFE Case Aide provides on-site crisis response for a 24-hour crisis hotline, hospital and law enforcement accompaniment, and shelter support. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, trauma-informed advocacy, accurate information on medical/legal options, coordination with SANE partners, documentation, and participating in on-call rotations. Requires on-site work at the shelter and hotline, with strong emphasis on confidentiality, compassionate support, crisis management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; preferred Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field and experience with sexual assault crisis response and trauma-informed care; bilingual in Spanish and ability to work with unhoused populations are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college coursework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Valid Texas driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance
- Ability to work flexible shifts including overnight, weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations
- Willingness to complete 40-hour Office of the Attorney General (OAG) training within three months of hire
