Job Summary
Operate and set up bindery equipment including cutters, folders, stitchers, and perfect binders while monitoring quality and troubleshooting minor issues to keep production moving. Maintain smooth machine performance through adjustments and work as part of a team to hit daily production goals. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and follow safety procedures to maintain a clean, organized workspace. This role requires on-the-job training for those without prior bindery experience, but candidates should have general machinery operation skills and be mechanically inclined. Shifts run Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with overtime opportunities available.
Required Qualifications
- Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
- Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
- Take pride in doing quality work
- Show up reliably and work well with a team
- On your feet for most of the shift
- Lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Print, bindery, or finishing experience
- Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment
