Job Summary

Oversee daily store operations for an on-site gas station and laundromat, managing sales, profitability, and labor goals while enforcing company policies and safety regulations. Partner with department leaders to develop future business leaders through coaching, succession planning, and tailored training programs. Drive financial performance by managing the annual operating budget, conducting inventory counts, and minimizing waste through strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards by leading regular audits and implementing corrective actions. Maintain a high-quality customer experience by overseeing product freshness, store presentation, and merchandising strategies across all departments.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in merchandising and/or management in a retail or related environment
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a grocery store or related environment
  • Certification in food safety or sanitation (e.g., ServSafe, Food Handlers Card) or attained within 30 days of hire
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire
  • A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs
  • Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business administration, management or related field
  • One (1) year of experience with the technical skills to assist as needed in all departments within the market
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a diverse team in achieving department goals
  • Collaborative mindset to work with other grocery departments, such as deli or produce, for cross-promotional opportunities
  • Excellent customer service and professional etiquette
  • Superior organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Ability to address customer concerns and unanticipated problems professionally
  • Self-starter with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in the use of POS equipment and other electronic systems
  • Capability to execute effective merchandising standards as assessed through regular audits
  • Knowledge of fuel station operations, including inventory management and safety standards
  • Familiarity with laundromat equipment maintenance and customer service best practices
  • Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities
  • Proficient in MS office and other relevant workplace tools
