Job Summary
Bakery Department Supervisor required to oversee daily Bakery operations including product preparation, cutting, packaging, and display; supervise department staff; ensure health, safety, and sanitation compliance; manage inventory and ordering; drive sales through merchandising and marketing collaboration; maintain visually appealing displays and respond to customer inquiries; lead training on food safety, product handling, and customer service; foster a collaborative team environment and maintain high standards aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Two (2) years experience in merchandising and/or management in a retail or related environment
- One (1) year of supervisory experience in a grocery store or related environment
- One (1) year of experience with the technical skills to assist as needed within the department
- Certification in food safety or sanitation (e.g., ServSafe, Food Handlers Card) or attained within 30 days of hire
- Certification in CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire
- A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs
- Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace
