Job Summary
Transport patients and items within WVU Health System facilities, escort patients to appropriate departments, prepare patients for transport, monitor invasive devices during transport, manage oxygen handling and storage, disinfect wheelchairs and stretchers after use, assist with discharge transport, and operate the patient transport dispatch system; role supports the patient care team across WVUH campuses including Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and related facilities; strong emphasis on safety, courtesy, and communication with RNs during transport.
Required Qualifications
- HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- West Virginia state criminal background check (and Federal, if applicable) for DHHR BMS regulated area
