Job Summary
Shovel, rake, and handle small tools for asphalt paving, patching, or prep crews while cleaning equipment and running power tools as needed. Signal construction equipment operators to facilitate alignment and movement of materials. Assist in placing, moving, and dismantling signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices. Adhere to safety policies and use required personal protection equipment at all times. Work in outdoor settings including inclement weather, heat, humidity, and dust exposure. Perform other duties as assigned. Full-time role with competitive hourly pay and benefits including medical, dental, 401k, and stock purchase plan. Overtime, extended hours, night shifts, and weekends required with some travel across Texas.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year (or under) experience
- Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset
- Must be positive, friendly, and professional
- Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety policy
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others
- Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas
- Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required
- Be available for overtime, extended hours, night shifts, and weekends as required
- Some travel may be required as our operations span throughout Texas
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required
- Proper PPE is required at all times
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of asphalt production and associated equipment, and an understanding of operations and safety requirements
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- High School Diploma or GED
