Job Summary
Oversee all kitchen operations for the 1936 Vintage Room; lead, train, and develop culinary team; ensure all food is prepared and presented to fine dining standards; develop and execute menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings; monitor food costs, maintain inventory levels, and control waste; ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards; schedule staff to meet business demands and service expectations; inspect food quality, freshness, and plating presentation; maintain clean, organized, and efficient kitchen operations; work directly with FOH leadership to ensure timing and service quality; implement cost-control strategies and operational efficiencies; address and resolve operational or team member issues; perform other duties as assigned; this role requires high standards of professionalism and teamwork among kitchen staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in high-end or fine dining kitchen operations
- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen operations, and cost control
- Experience in menu development and seasonal programming preferred
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
