Job Summary
Lead and manage the site's environmental compliance program, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, permits, and reporting requirements. Oversee air emissions, wastewater, hazardous waste, chemical management, and spill prevention while conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews. Serve as the primary contact for regulators and consultants, managing incident investigations for spills and deviations. Develop corrective actions, deliver training, establish performance metrics, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and emissions. Manage consultants, sampling programs, and project budgets. Stay current on regulatory developments and their operational impacts.

- Lead and manage the site's environmental compliance program
- Ensure compliance with applicable EPA, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements
- Manage air emissions, wastewater/stormwater, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, chemical management, and spill prevention programs
- Maintain environmental permits, records, procedures, and regulatory documentation
- Prepare and submit required environmental reports, notifications, permit applications, and regulatory correspondence
- Conduct environmental inspections, audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions for environmental findings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental regulators, consultants, and third-party auditors
- Lead environmental incident investigations, including spills, releases, permit deviations, and potential violations
- Develop and deliver environmental training for employees and contractors
- Establish environmental performance metrics and communicate results to site and corporate leadership
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, emissions, energy consumption, water use, and environmental risk
- Manage environmental consultants, contractors, sampling programs, and project budgets as needed
- Stay current on regulatory developments and evaluate their potential impact on company operations
