Job Summary
Operate and lead the S.A.F.E. before and after school program at an elementary school, developing and scheduling enrichment programming while supervising staff and managing payroll and financials. Coordinate with community volunteers, vendors, and the Director of Student Services to implement activities, maintain records of participation, and conduct annual surveys. Assist with hiring program staff, develop alternative funding sources through grant writing, and collaborate with other coordinators to establish district-wide policies. Comply with state and federal regulations and uphold ethical responsibility standards. Work split shifts from 6:45 am to 8:00 am and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, including two hours of daily office work.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree, related to education or enrichment field, preferably with an emphasis in early childhood, elementary, or community education
- Three-five (3-5) years in a supervisory role
- Familiarity with budgeting and/or fiscal background related to the New Mexico Public Education Department
- Experience working with children in a before and after school program, camp, or school setting
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of and experience in developing enrichment programs for elementary aged children
- Knowledge of and experience with office procedures
- Supervisory and management skills
- Budgeting and procurement skills
- Ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must comply with the safety guidelines of the Rio Rancho Public School District
