Job Summary
S/4 IT Business Analyst/Project Manager for Clinical Supply ICSM in Chennai. The role blends business analysis with project management responsibilities within AstraZeneca's Axial S/4HANA programme. You will drive solution design for defined capability areas (e.g., Clinical Supply, Finance, Operations, Enabling Units), promote fit-to-standard SAP best practices, ensure integrated architecture and data objects, maintain alignment with compliance standards, and contribute to planning, RAID, and governance to deliver on time and within budget. You’ll operate in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies (including SAP Activate) as a key member of the SAP S/4HANA IT Design Team, potentially lead a team of Business Analysts, and collaborate with SMEs and external partners to ensure standardized global designs. During deployment, you’ll reflect localisation requirements while preserving fit-to-standard design. You will engage with global teams, participate in governance forums, and help shape the IT solution across processes in the Clinical Supply domain. The role requires strong stakeholder management, SAP data proficiency, and the ability to map data objects to applications interfaces, with a focus on delivering scalable, compliant enterprise solutions within a large transformation program.
Required Qualifications
- Essential understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain processes including warehousing and distribution for clinical purposes
- Consistent track record of delivering complex designs for a large business transformation project
- SAP Data Proficiency: solid understanding of SAP data models, table structures, and CDS views; ability to trace transactions from UI to underlying tables and document data lineage
- Ability to represent process domain on senior forums and support setting strategic direction with solution/technology opportunities
- Strong organizational design skills and workshop preparation
- Familiarity with standard project tools like JIRA, Smartsheets, Solman, and MS Office
- Experience working in a hybrid environment with internal and external resources in multiple geographical locations
- S/4HANA implementation experience
- Knowledge of clinical supply processes
- Knowledge/experience of SAP Intelligent Clinical Supply Management
- Ability to manage budgets, risks, and RAID items across a programme
- Healthcare/pharma industry experience preferred
