Job Summary
The Cargo Agent processes customer freight and mail according to Ryan Air policy, including inputting into a computer database, daily reconciliation of mail and freight, timely backhaul deliveries to post offices or carriers, loading/unloading aircraft, maintaining ramp and storage areas, staging flight loads per manifest, loading and marshaling aircraft, assisting customers with shipping/receiving and locating freight, and performing routine maintenance on ground service equipment and facilities. Requires physical activity (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing up to 8–10 hours), ability to lift items over 70 pounds, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; may require a ten-year security background check for airport badges in Alaska postings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Prior applicable experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- For Anchorage, Nome, Kotzebue and Bethel Stations - Must be able to pass a ten year security background check for airport badging.
