Job Summary
Produce quality eyewear by selecting lenses, marking, blocking, edging, tinting, and coating polycarbonate lenses using the Quality Manufacturing Program. Perform drop-ball testing, safety monogramming, mounting, and final inspecting while operating Lab Management Software to input statistics accurately. Maintain laboratory tools and equipment through regular cleaning and follow established maintenance calendars. Ensure all measurements, calculations, and equipment settings meet strict standards by staying attentive to detail and following safety protocols for chemicals and personal protective equipment. Work in a manufacturing lab environment with regular exposure to loud machinery, standing for long periods while handling routine and special orders.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Able to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Optical training preferred
- Previous experience in optical preferred
- Experience with machinery preferred
