Job Summary

Develop and co-lead integrated real-world evidence, epidemiology, and data strategies that support UCB's therapies across the product lifecycle. Identify critical evidence gaps and define research plans addressing regulatory, market access, reimbursement, and patient-centered needs. Shape evidence-generation initiatives using registries, external control arms, and emerging technologies like AI to inform business decisions. Oversee study execution ensuring delivery within budget and quality standards while mentoring RWE talent. Represent the company externally with scientific experts and industry partners to advance real-world evidence impact. This hybrid role requires 40% on-site presence and 5-10% travel, with a salary range of $202,400 - $265,700.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree, PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Biostatistics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or academic sectors with demonstrated involvement in evidence generation, clinical development, market access, regulatory, and/or payer-related initiatives
  • Strong understanding of real-world evidence (RWE), epidemiology, outcomes research, and healthcare data sources
  • Experience developing evidence strategies that support regulatory, reimbursement, clinical, and business decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Minimum of 40% on-site presence
  • 5-10% domestic and international travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Big Data and AI
  • Formal training in epidemiological research methods, outcomes research, health economics, or related quantitative disciplines
  • Experience developing and executing integrated RWE strategies for or with pharmaceutical assets across multiple stages of the product lifecycle
  • Prior leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching, and developing individuals or leading cross-functional teams
  • Expertise supporting health authority, payer, HTA, or market access interactions through evidence generation
  • Experience in Immunology, Dermatology, Respiratory, or other specialty therapeutic areas
  • Familiarity with innovative study designs, registries, external data sources, AI-enabled technologies, and advanced evidence-generation methodologies
