Job Summary
Develop and implement regional strategies to lead the delivery of telecommunications construction projects, including dark fiber, lit transport, and fiber-to-the-home initiatives, from concept through completion. Manage multiple teams across a vast build area to ensure projects adhere to approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards while tracking, reporting, and key metrics for hundreds of concurrent projects. Create and maintain regional performance reports, monitor KPIs for cost control and safety, and coordinate with internal departments and external partners to optimize processes and maintain accurate project status records. Travel up to 50% to project sites, corporate offices, and vendor meetings to support construction practices and strengthen relationships with local teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of fifteen years of combined experience in OSP construction, fiber network deployment, and project management
- At least ten years in leadership roles
- Five years managing lower-level leaders or supervisors
- Five years' experience using GIS system
- Proficiency with enterprise project management platforms such as Microsoft Project
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to travel up to 50% to project sites, corporate offices, vendor meetings, and other business locations as required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to articulate technical and operational expertise to executive leadership and project partners
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities for data-driven decision-making and project evaluation
- Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to anticipate issues, assess alternatives, and implement effective solutions
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and personable, with strong time-management capabilities and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred but not required
- Five years' experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
