Job Summary
RV Technicians are responsible for performing essential maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs. They must successfully diagnose RV problems, communicate effectively with shop foremen, and maintain quality standards. A focus on proper documentation, adherence to dealership policies, and the ability to follow state and federal regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal are crucial. Candidates must be handy, responsible, and possess a valid Driver’s License, along with their own tools. Previous experience in relevant fields is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to diagnose and fix electrical, heating, plumbing, and hydraulic systems
- Must have own tools appropriate to skill level
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with clean, insurable driving record
- Ability to perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance maintenance
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations
Desired Qualifications
- RVIA certification
- State Inspection License
- Certification in trade fields such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing
- Experience in boat exteriors or interiors
- Experience in carpentry
- Experience in electrical systems
- Experience in fiberglass
- Experience in HVAC
- Experience in hydraulics
