Job Summary
Russian Linguist role supporting Corporate Language Support Services requires qualified linguists to perform interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction across YSG/TU programs and potential government contracts. This is an evergreen requisition for a range of language support roles, not tied to a specific client, project, organization, or location; candidates may be considered for multiple opportunities within the YSG/TU portfolio as needs arise. Responsibilities include interpretation, written translation, transcription, editing, and classroom or virtual instruction. Candidates must meet CAT I/II/III language proficiency categories, hold applicable security clearances per category, and possess the ability to operate in high-pressure environments and as part of a professional team; travel may be required. Required Qualifications
- ILR level 2+ in English (CAT I) or equivalent
- ILR level 2+ in English (CAT II) or equivalent with US citizenship and security clearance considerations
- ILR level 3 in English (CAT III) or higher with potential for SECRET/SCI access
- Ability to provide idiomatic translations of nontechnical material
- Consecutive translation and interpretation abilities
- Familiarity with local culture and customs
- Ability to work in harsh environments and under high pressure
- Team-oriented professional demeanor
- Must be able to live and work in mission-driven environments
- Security clearance requirements by category (CAT I/II/III) as specified
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adults
- Fluency in English and foreign language with regionalisms and slang preserved
- Ability to interpret accurately without changes, omissions, or additions
- Maintain tone and register in translations
