Job Summary
Deliver Russian language instruction based on a curriculum to develop listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills as measured by the DLPT and/or OPI; provide tailored instruction to supplement curriculum and integrate regional culture using modern communicative methodology; maintain attendance, review and annotate student progress, and submit weekly progress reports; use computer skills to organize data/materials and maintain a positive, professional learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- BA/BS, MA/MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in language instruction
- English Language Qualifications: ILR level 2+ as measured by DoD test; Advanced Mid/High ACTFL on an OPI
- Target Language Qualifications: native proficiency ILR 3 or ACTFL Superior or higher; OPI or two-skill OPI from DLIFLC; ACTFL-certified interview; Defense Language Proficiency Test
- Clearance: Must pass a NACI background check
