Job Summary
Assists clients in daily living activities and personal hygiene, supervises clients for safety, monitors the environment for hazards, and reports changes to the supervisor. Candidates should possess a cheerful demeanor, ability to cooperate and support fellow workers, and meet physical demands including lifting and mobility tasks. The role requires recognizing client behavior changes, patience, tact, and confidentiality while adhering to home health policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Demonstrated competency in personal assistance services
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed oral and written instructions
- Ability to complete required training requirements
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously
- Ability to recognize differences in sounds and exercise judgment and confidentiality
- Ability to recognize changes in a client’s appearance, attitude, and condition
