Job Summary
Drive and operate the childcare mobile outreach unit to rural areas according to a scheduled route, providing in-person and virtual information to families and providers on assistance programs, eligibility, and documentation. Collaborate with workforce centers, schools, and community partners to host outreach events and promote access to childcare support while serving as a knowledgeable resource for the application process. Maintain accurate records of activities and follow-up needs, ensuring the mobile unit remains safe and compliant with transportation regulations. Support special initiatives designed to strengthen awareness in underserved rural areas. Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) and extensive travel to rural locations required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B minimum)
- Knowledge of childcare assistance programs, community resources, and rural family needs
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Ability to travel extensively to rural locations and operate a mobile outreach vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in social services, early childhood education, community outreach, or a related field preferred
