Job Summary
Deliver mail on an on-call basis as a Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier for Canada Post in Ridgeway (Ontario). Responsibilities include sorting, collecting and delivering mail items safely and on time; maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, roads, customers, and delivery receptacles; ensure mail is securely stored; process CPC products and services (e.g., Change of Address, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill); wear Canada Post identification during deliveries; lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg; operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions. Requires a satisfactory driving record and a valid provincial driver’s license (class 5 or G). Includes mandatory vehicle and insurance readiness as part of the role and offers potential future opportunities for permanent Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier positions.
Required Qualifications
- Have a satisfactory safe driving record (driver's abstract required)
- Possess a valid permanent provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G
- Lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
- Operate a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions
