Job Summary
On-call relief Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier for Canada Post. Responsibilities include sorting, collecting and delivering mail, acquiring knowledge of local roads and delivery receptacles, ensuring mail is securely held, processing CPC products and services (Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill, etc.), wearing Canada Post identification during delivery, and lifting up to 50 lb. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory safe driving record
- Valid permanent provincial driver’s license - class 5 or G
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
- Experience delivering by motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions
- Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance for using your vehicle
Additional Requirements
- Area of competition: applicants residing within 75 km from the Post Office preferred
