Job Summary
Rural Advocate provides direct crisis intervention and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking, including safety planning, resources/referrals, one-on-one court/hospital accompaniment, and facilitation of survivor groups. Maintains accurate client records, participates in program policy evaluation, and supports on-call hospital shifts. Requires a BA/BS in a related field (or equivalent experience), at least one year of crisis intervention/advocacy experience, and strong skills in active listening, empathy, confidentiality, and professional communication. Compensation range is $18.00-$19.00 per hour, with benefits including health insurance, retirement, parking stipend, and paid time off. Location: Cincinnati, OH office; in-person position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Human Services, or related field or equivalent professional experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, databases, email)
- At least one year of crisis intervention/advocacy/direct services experience in sexual assault or domestic violence
