Job Summary
Operate pallet jack equipment to move pallets from inbound docks to storage locations and to scheduled shipping doors. Move pallets between dock doors and internal locations, locate products requested in work orders, and change over pallets for picking. Visually inspect items for damages, document and report damages to the lead/supervisor, and ensure pallets are wrapped properly with a wrap machine. May use a pallet inverter and other material handling equipment. Requires basic math, ability to follow instructions in the official language, and comfort working in cold and dry storage environments with appropriate PPE. Must lift up to 40 lbs, work a flexible schedule (including weekends), and tolerate various noise levels. Emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and a path for career growth within the Lineage Logistics organization.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs/18 kgs
- Basic math skills may be required
- Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage and up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage with PPE and freezer gear
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Comfortable with various noise levels and potentially loud environments
- Experience operating pallet jack equipment and handling pallets
- Ability to wrap pallets and use a pallet inverter as needed
- Attention to damages/defects and reporting to lead/supervisor
