Job Summary
Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, managing arrivals, recognizing returning guests and special occasions, and curating personalized experiences that reflect Rundle Bar's luxury hospitality standards. Anticipate guest needs, build genuine connections, resolve concerns with empathy, and consistently seek opportunities to surprise and delight through Fairmont's "Make Special Happen" philosophy. Maintain the flow of the dining room by coordinating seating and table pacing, communicating effectively with leadership and service teams, and ensuring a seamless guest journey during peak periods. Serve as a knowledgeable brand ambassador by sharing the story of Rundle Bar, providing recommendations on menus, cocktails, hotel dining experiences, and local attractions. Ensure the host stand and entrance remain immaculate while supporting team operations to consistently exceed guest expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Pro-Serve Certification
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Highly responsible, professional and reliable
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
Desired Qualifications
- Previous luxury restaurant, fine dining or hospitality experience
- Previous experience as a host, maître d', guest services agent or guest relations professional
- Previous experience with OpenTable reservations platform
- Additional languages
- Passion for food, wine, cocktails and luxury hospitality
